Dr. Jim Bradshaw Heads The School Of Ministry And Applied Theology
It is with great joy that the Apostles Theological Seminary announces the appointment of Dr. Jim Bradshaw to serve as the Dean of the School Of Ministry And Applied Theology.
With Master and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Asbury Theological Seminary, 22 years of field experience under his belt as an ordained minister and pastor in the United Methodist Church, and currently walking out his calling as an apostle of Jesus Christ, Dr. Bradshaw is uniquely qualified to take the responsibility of giving overall leadership to this important school or department of study. In addition to teaching Dr. Bradshaw's responsibilities will include recruiting faculty members and determining the courses of study that will be offered to students seeking to prepare themselves for apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, and pastoral ministry in the body of Christ.
Along with a number of other ministry courses Jim will be teaching AM190, Spiritual Formation For Ministry. This unique course deals with the spiritual formation (including the importance of valid Kingdom foundations and an ongoing personal relationship with the Lord) necessary to maintain an effective and enduring ministry.
In Dr. Bradshaw's own word's: "This course challenges the student to develop a spiritual life that empowers ministry for a lifetime. Through the readings, writings and other projects/exercises, the student discovers how to integrate spiritual life with ministry, often referred as ministering out of overflow."
This course will be available to students beginning January 10, 2011.
